This blog is about customization and API (Application Programming Interface). I work for Autodesk, supporting 3rd party developers who use Autodesk product API’s and technologies focusing on AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry, including Autodesk BIM 360 Glue and Field, and Revit. My intention of writing this blog is to share information about the API’s that I support through my experience.
Some of you may know that I have been writing blog posts here and there in the past. In recent months, I was a guest blogger for http://the360view.typepad.com/, a blog dedicated to BIM 360 and owned by Manu Venugopal. I enjoy writing. I put my head to wide range of things happening around me nowadays. So I will be writing beyond BIM 360; anything related customization and API that comes on my plate in day-to-day work, including topics like View and Data API, hackathons, meetups, Arduino, women in technologies, name a few. After having discussion internally, I have decided to spin out from BIM 360 product blog and start a separate personality-style blog instead.
With this background, the blog posts on and before September 3rd, 2015 are ones authored by me and migrated from the360view. I intend to update them as I see the needs.
Another thing to note is that Autodesk is moving to WordPress from TypePad. They are just about to start with AutoCAD. While I’m waiting for my turn, I’m using this site as an interim location and experimenting with the site.
